Owner, Pistil & Bloom

Meet Pistil & Bloom’s creator and owner, Talyssa! She started P&B in 2016 after years of creating floral arrangements for parties and events, including weddings! Talyssa learned floral design firsthand from her mom who was a floral designer at a local store for more than 20 years! They still collaborate on events in both Northern California and Southern California, and you can see her mom’s work periodically on the @pistilnbloom Instagram.

Talyssa’s drive to start P&B stemmed from a love of flowers that spans back to her grandmother, who would sew clothes made of a crazy mix of floral prints. The front of her house was also lined with rose bushes that yielded bright, beautiful flowers! Some of Talyssa’s favorite memories include creating floral arrangements with her mom and cousin. It just runs in the family!

Talyssa has a younger brother with special needs, and he is a big reason she started her own company. She plans to add him to the P&B team in the future! She also works in communications and internet marketing and is an avid supporter of the Special Olympics and Variety, the Children’s Charity. A few of her favorite things are flowers (of course), Ban.do, Rifle Paper Co., the Golden Girls and spending time with family.
